| The Vice President, leads a team that
innovative, scalable, and reliable Web properties that anticipate and
exceed the business objectives. the Vice President establishes critical
technology objectives, defines technological strategy and architecture,
and builds and directs the technology team to manage all product phases,
from conceptualization through quality assurance, implementation and
maintenance.
Responsibilities:
* Lead technological development to optimize
product functionality and performance.
* Provide vision and leadership for new
technology and for the product development process.
* Recruit, develop, and direct a team of
technology experts.
* Evaluate current architecture, suggesting
enhancements to technology and processes and working with senior
management to select and implement needed enterprise systems.
* Partner with executive staff to develop new
revenue opportunities.
* Ensure that all technology development
projects are in line with business model and are completed on time and
within
* Guide the product life cycle, from project
plans through launch.
* Ensure that systems are well documented in
terms of high-level architecture, data flow and end-user documentation
* Define and implement development
methodologies, processes, procedures, systems, and standards that
stimulate innovation and improve product performance while providing a
desirable level of stability and consistency.
* Evangelize "best practices" to
personnel.
* Manage the Quality Assurance group and guide
QA testing processes.
* Foster teamwork within the technology group
and across PDE's departments.
